Rule Of Thirds

In this assignment we had to imagine there was a grid on out photo, splitting it in to nine squares. Instead of placing our subject in the middle square, we experimented with placing the subject in the corners. During this week I played with the imagery of lines separating the photo as well as imagining lines that separate the photo into nine squares. Many of the photos have their subject behind lines as well or next to or in front.

  3. You really illustrated the assignment very well. I love the photo of the kids in the playground. You were able to make the gate separate well without making the picture look chaotic.

  4. I really like your photos! They follow the assignment in an unique way. They each have their own style, and I really like the ones of the kids at Cobb Elementary school playing in the play ground.

  7. These are really great! They all flow very nicely and look like they belong in a catalog. It is blatantly clear you put a ton of work into these and they turned out lovely.

  8. Black and white really benefits your photos. I think i touched on this last week but the way you use the amount of light in your shots really benefits the definition and whereabouts of you subjects and enhances the grid/placement effect. Some of them get lost and filled a little much, but otherwise are lovely.
