3x3

Each of these photos were taken from different angles and heights. At least nine were taken at different distances to make them all unique yet flow together. I played with the manipulation of lighting and contrast over the course of four days. Many of the photos were approached by changing something or someone we see everyday and looking at them from another angle.

  1. These photos are all very good. I think you really got the different angles in unsuspecting ways. You managed to get a mix of emotions, and did a nice job. I think that your close ups are the strongest, along with the image of Cassie And the shadows. All if your images were successful.

  2. I really like your images because even though some of them were taken together they're all relatively unique. The picture of Khalena looking down is really good, the lighting makes her really pop. I also like the photo of the little boy standing on the hill, the angle is nice. All the photos with drastic angles turned out good, maybe try to make the straight on photo even more exciting.

  4. Your pictures are really cool, I like the way they each have a different style, but work well together. I really like the one of Willie from far away, and he has no shoes one, I think that is great shot. Overall, all of the shots work well together to create a series. Good Job!

  5. After reading your introduction, I think that you were able to accomplish what you set out to do. I would have to say that my favorite in with Zephy standing with her back toward you. I don't really have any criticism on your photos, so good job.

  6. I definitely think you accomplished your task. I like how the role of shadow, darkness and light are exensuated to add great complexity and depth to your photos. What I would suggest next time is making sure nine photos you want in your 3x3 are clear to the looker.

  8. I like how your photos are taken in unique angles. The shadows give a darker feel to the images. Nicely done!

  9. You did an great job! I think that you were amazing in that all of your pictures were so different, but they came together really nicely. I think you did an awesome job in the explanation because you said what the assignment was a bout and how you went through with it and it really showed that you did "play with the lighting and contrast".
My favorite picture is the one of your brother on the curvy hill. I think some of your pictures are very artsy and some are just pictures, but that's not a bad thing. This was expertly done, great job.

  11. In these pictures you did a really good job with the extremes of the angles and the contrast. I also think your beginning statement really explained what your goal was in this project and i think you did a great job of fulfilling that!
